First universal quick-change tooling system
Sandvik Coromant pioneered the development of modular quick-change tooling. With Coromant Capto®, a Sandvik Coromant invention, tools can easily be built together to form a large range of cutting tool combinations. Tool inventory can be dramatically reduced along with the associated tool handling and investment costs.

Customer Value Files (CVF) are living documents that capture all the services Sandvik Coromant provides a customer. It is a tool that can be used by engineering and purchasing to evaluate Sandvik Coromant's performance and measure the value of the additional services we provide in their facility.

For Lathes
Standard lathe turrets can be quickly and easily configured to Coromant Capto quick-change tools using standard clamping units. This can be either a select number of tool positions of a complete turret setup. Implementing quick-change tooling takes just five minutes and delivers immediate results.

For Machining Centers
Coromant Capto offers flexibility and substantial reduction of tool inventory. Requirements for tools with differing gauge lengths are easily achieved through standard adapters and extensions. Tooling can be shifted throughout the shop to various machines regardless of spindle taper size or style. Assemblies for complex component features are quickly assembled from standard Coromant Capto tools.

For Turn-Mill and Multi-Task Machines
When integrated into the spindle of Turn-Mill centers, Coromant Capto provides superior results:
