Swiss grinding machine manufacturer Fritz Studer AG model S11 cylindrical grinding machine is the smallest machine in the company's product line and is designed for workpieces of up to 200 mm in length, but is particularly suited for micro components. The compact machine concept delivers a level of productivity typical of larger machines.
The machine is capable of out producing the S36 in half the floor space. The S11 alone has a 15% higher productivity than the STUDER S36. STuder says that "in concrete terms this means that in the space taken up by one STUDER S36, two STUDER S11s can guarantee a 230 percent higher output."
