EMAG VL 8 DUO line

VL 8 CNC turning centers allow the automated and productive manufacturing of large and heavy components up to 400 mm in diameter. The machines are equipped with a FANUC or Siemens control unit. In the DUO line, both the machining area and all service units of the machines are easily accessible, which allows fast tooling times and short service times. All these factors contribute to the high availability of the VL 8 machine. Each VL 8 CNC turning center is equipped with a pick-up automation system. The automation system consists of a part storage unit and a pick-up spindle. This integrated automation system in the CNC turning centers allows for the use of the TrackMotion automation system, which provides the parts transport between the machines, or between the integrated part storage units of the machines. The TransLift is the CNC lifting and flip-over carriage of the TrackMotion automation system. It eliminates the need for any additional automa tion components and contributes to the small footprint of the entire system, consisting of the two machines, the TrackMotion automation system, and an extra part storage unit for blanks and finished parts. The high processing quality of the individual CNC turning centers in combination with the fast automation system makes the VL 8 DUO line an ideal manufacturing system for large chucked parts up to 400 mm in diameter.
