Amera Seiki VCB-765D
The Amera-Seiki VCB Seriesis designed withclosed bridge structure specifically to provide addedstrength and stability. This solid configuration provides5 timesthe structural rigidity of a typical‘C’frame design. Unlike traditional models, where travels are limited by spindle to column distance, thisdesign offers extended Y-axis strokewith no inherent deflection under load. Thethick walled Meehanite cast iron construction provides high stability during heavy cutting as well as high speed conditions. The base casting is extra wide, providing a rock solid machine structure with high quality roller-type linear guide ways positioned for maximum stability. The‘closed bridge’style machine typically weighs in at 33% more than conventional vertical machining center designs. The entire machine structure was designed for optimum strength, vibration dampening and rigidity utilizing finite element analysis (FEA). The Dual Pallet design enables faster part to part machining by eliminating non cu tting time typical of pallet changer design.
