The Nanotech 350UPL is a two-axis ultra-precision machining system,
suitable for both single point diamond turning and hard turning of any
axisymmetric form. Applications include the manufacture of components
used in the electro-optics, aerospace, consumer electronics, bearing and
computer industries. The machine's advanced design incorporates a host
of performance enhancing features, including our innovative hydrostatic
oil bearing slideways and maintenance-free linear motors. Nanometer level
surface finishes are attainable on a wide range of materials, while a
full compliment of optional accessories ensures that the most diverse
applications can be undertaken. Options include a vertical Y axis
(for 3-axis raster flycutting of freeform, linear diffractive, and
prismatic optical structures), a hydrostatic oil bearing grinding
attachment for processing brittle glass-like materials, tool holders,
tool setting systems, and our
in-situ metrology and error compensation
system.
