The EDBV8 machine is a water-based EDM Drilling machine that is ideally configured for Aerospace and Power Generation production applications, and provides additional size and payload capacity for large part details. The Hyper-i control system uses a high definition 24” wide touch screen that fuses the power and flexibility within the machine into an extremely user-friendly interface that empowers operators of all skill levels to achieve optimal results. The machine is configured with a 2-Axis rotary table for positioning of the work piece, and utilizes a unique tooling system that integrates the Electrode and Die Guide together to facilitate fast exchanging. The EDBV8 is designed for fully submerged operations, which helps to provide faster machining speeds with high metallurgical quality, and can detect electrode break-thru to prevent back-striking within 1 second or 1mm (0.040”) of depth.
